Streaming Resources

< 1 min read

Every WpStream account runs on three types of resources: Viewer Hours, Broadcast Hours, and Recording Hours. Viewer Hours are used as your audience watches your live streams and videos, Broadcast Hours as you go live, and Recording Hours when you record and store video in the WpStream Cloud.

When you create an account you receive a set amount of each to get started, and every subscription plan includes a monthly allowance. See the pricing page for the current figures.

If you use up your Viewer Hours or Broadcast Hours, you can still go live — your streams are always served from the WpStream Cloud. Some limits may apply (for example, to how many people can watch at once or how long you can broadcast), and your streams may carry WpStream branding until you top up or upgrade. For uninterrupted, unbranded streaming, see our paid plans.
