Going Live from your Browser

  1. Go to “Free live channels/free videos” and “Add New”
  1. Here, you can give your channel a title, description, a featured image, tags, and categories. Once your channel is ready, click on “Publish”.
  1. “Start Live Event” and “Settings” will appear. Click on “Start Live Event”.
  1. Now, you will get the following message “Ready to Go Live” along with 3 options. You can:


a) “Go Live from Browser”- Broadcast straight from your browser and will be discussed later in the documentation.
b) “Go Live with External Broadcaster”- Broadcast from an external broadcaster such as OBS (and what will be used here) or check out the different types of external broadcasters later in the documentation.
c) “Live Metrics”- You can view your live statistics, number of viewers, and the quality of your broadcast by clicking on this button.

  1. Click on “Go Live from Browser”.
  1. The browser broadcaster will pop up (see image below). The automatic video setting will use your webcam. You can change your settings, including your video and audio (you can also disable either the video or audio). You can also adjust your bitrate and resolution.
  2. Once you are happy with your settings, click on “Start Broadcasting” and go to “View Channel”
  1. You will be taken to your live stream where it will be live. 
  1. Once you are done live streaming, simply click on “Stop Broadcasting” and your live event will end.
