iPhone / Macbook Safari trouble

There has been an ongoing technical issue that is affecting some iPhone and Macbook (Apple) users that are broadcasting via their Safari browser. It appears that the issue began with Safari version 15 onwards. Please see more details here https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=228296

Symptoms

  • Could not connect: wss://615d43a79c561.streamlock.net:8443/webrtsession.json
  • Failed to broadcast

Quick fix

  • Navigate to: Settings > Safari > Advanced > Experimental Features
  • Set “NSURLSession WebSocket” to OFF and restart Safari (or the phone/tablet).
  • Alternatively, you can use any other browser on your Apple device and you will not face this issue

Since we have pinpointed that the problem lies with the Safari update and we were able to come up with a quick fix, we have decided to not take further action in this matter unless the issue persists post changes. We would like to apologize to those who have been affected and please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
